the M&S Insurance League Finals

Last week we had the pleasure of showing at the M&S Insurance League Finals in Saugerties, NY. We had a number of horses qualify and they rose to the occasion! Laura van Rooyen rode Uruguay owned by Stefano Baruzzo to the win in the Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Final 🥇Laura was so consistent she rode to a score of 88 in both rounds 🤩 The next day Laura’s daughter Grier van Rooyen rode Amore De Tortuga to the Reserve 🥈title in the M&S Children’s Large Pony Medal Finals 🐢 Grier also rode All Inclusive to a second 🥈place finish over fences out of a very competitive Children’s Hunter Medium Pony group. Clair De Lune and Jenn splashed their way to the Reserve Championship in the HITS Working 2’9” division. Thanks to HITS for putting on a great Finals! And as always thanks to everyone on our team. The magic couldn’t happen without you!

Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show

Wow!🤩 We had a wonderful week showing at the Vermont Summer Festival week 2 in Manchester, VT last week!

🏅 Jenn put in beautiful rounds on all the horses earlier in the week. Picking up multiple ribbons including the Reserve Championship on Biarritz in the Performance Hunters.

Our Tri Color shout-out goes to:
🏆 Biarritz and Jenn earning the Reserve title in the Performance Hunters. Ritz continued his winning ways with owner, Laura van Rooyen in the 3’3” A/O Hunters where the pair earned the Championship title.

🏆 Amor De Tortuga and Grier van Rooyen rode to the Reserve Championship in the Schooling Pony Hunter Division. They finished the weekend with the Championship in the Large Children’s Pony Hunter division. This dynamic duo also won the two round Tiny Bit O’ 2’ Hunter Derby! 🤩

🏆 All Inclusive and Grier van Rooyen finished the Medium Pony Hunter division as Reserve Champions.

the Saratoga Classic

We had a great week of competition during the Saratoga Classic WCHR week.

Jenn & Laura Richardson’s Deva ribboned in a large group in the Low Hunters. Laura and Deva went on to achieve ribbons out of 30 in the Low Adult Hunters & Low Adult Equitation in their first show outing with Signature.

Laura van Rooyen and Biarritz had a great week. They had some impressive rounds in good competition, including a handy win with a score of 87.

Jenn and Clair de Lune had some nice rounds in the USHJA 2’9. This young one keeps improving show after show!

Laura van Rooyen and Stefano Baruzzo’s Uruguay were Champion in the Adult 3’ Equitation, with a 2nd place in the Ariat Adult Medal as well.

Grier van Rooyen and All Inclusive were Champion in the Children’s Small / Medium Pony Hunters, and were neck and neck to be named Grand Champion Children’s Hunter of the show.

Grier van Rooyen and Amor de Tortuga were Champion in the Children’s Large Pony Hunters, and just beat out Ali to be Grand Champion Children’s Hunter of the show, of both horses and ponies.

Devon

Congratulations to Laura van Rooyen and Biarritz on completing their first Devon together! They earned their spot to compete alongside the top 25 in the country. The pair competed in the Amateur Owner 3’3 Hunters and put in respectable rounds, including an 8th in the handy with a score of 82.5. We are so proud of Laura and Ritz on their accomplishments, thank you to our team for helping us prepare for this event and for our wonderful sponsors for aiding us in looking our best!

Princeton Show Jumping

We had a second great week here at Princeton Show Jumping!

Laura van Rooyen and Biarritz jumped to Champion in the 3’3 Amateur Owner Hunters. They also rode to the blue ribbon in the $1000 Amateur Owner 3’3/3’6 Hunter Classic.

Grier van Rooyen and All Inclusive earned Reserve Champion in the Children’s Small/Medium Hunter ponies. They had some beautiful rounds, including 2 blue ribbon trips. And they finished 3rd in the $500 M&S Children’s Pony Hunter Classic out of a competitive 17 ponies.

Laura van Rooyen and Uruguay had a good showing in the Adult Medals. They achieved

Grier van Rooyen and Amor de Tortuga competed in the Children’s Large Hunter Ponies and rode to good ribbons in a competitive group. They had 2 second place trips, and won the $500 M&S Children’s Pony Hunter Classic out of 17 ponies.

Ocala Spring Classic III

We just finished up our final week showing here at the Florida Horse Park for the Ocala Spring Classic III.

Laura van Rooyen and Stefano Baruzzo’s Uruguay jumped to
- 🏆 Reserve Champion in the Adult Amateur Hunters
- 🥈 2nd in the Ariat Adult Medal
Grier van Rooyen and Amor de Tortuga earned
- 🏆 Champion in the Children’s Large Hunter Pony
- 🥇1st in the Classic
Grier van Rooyen and All Inclusive claimed 🥇 1st in the M&S USEF Pony Medal Qualifying them for Pony Medal Finals in Kentucky
Laura van Rooyen and Biarritz had a great show in a competitive group, earning several podium finishes ⭐️
Jenn and Clair de Lune finished their season in Florida on a high note with some consistent trips and another under saddle win in the USHJA 2’9 ✨

Overall we are so proud of all of our riders and horses on completing a great season here in Florida. the Ocala Spring Classic II

Our team just completed a week of showing at the Florida Horse Park for the Ocala Spring Classic II.

Kicking off our results.

🏆 Grier van Rooyen and All Inclusive achieved Champion in the Medium Pony Hunters with some beautiful rounds and an under saddle win.
🏆 Laura van Rooyen and Biarritz claimed Reserve Champion in the Amateur Owner 3’3 Hunters with consistent trips.
🏆 Jenn Tirrell and Laura van Rooyen’s Clair de Lune had a wonderful week of showing earning Reserve Champion in the USHJA 2’6 Hunters and then again in the USHJA 2’9 Hunters. This young horse has really come into her own this winter through Jenn’s guidance and training and this mare’s got a bright future ⭐️
🥇 Laura van Rooyen and Stefano Baruzzo’s Uruguay won the Ariat Adult Medal. They also gave the Adult Amateur Hunter ring a try and earned a 1st and 3rd.
