Signature Stables had a great summer filled with horse shows, top results, and exciting new additions. Here are a few highlights from the season.
DEVON HORSE SHOW
Serendipity and Michael Andrade finished Top 10 in the Green Conformation Hunters, earning 3rd in the Handy and 5th over fences. Grier Van Rooyen and Oswald Van De Leeuwerk also had a great week in the Large Junior Hunter 3’3” division, finishing Top 10 in the Handy and Top 12 in every jumping round.
HITS HUDSON VALLEY III
Jennifer Tirrell and Serendipity won a Green Hunter 3’6” over-fences class, while Laura Van Rooyen and Serendipity placed 2nd in the Amateur-Owner Hunter 3’3” division.Grier and Oswald Van De Leeuwerk earned two wins in the Large Junior Hunter 3’3” division and finished 2nd in the Junior/Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic. Grier also won the IHSA/USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal aboard Evito Sun Z. Colette Arslanian finished 3rd in the Amateur 1.0m Jumpers.
JUNIOR HUNTER FINALS
Out of 67 qualified entries, Grier and Oswald Van De Leeuwerk finished 3rd overall in the Large Junior Hunter 3’3” 15/U division. They also placed 3rd in the $7,500 Classic and 6th in the $7,500 Handy.
SARATOGA WIB SPECTACULAR
Grier received the Best Junior Rider Award after earning Champion and Grand Champion honors with Unlimited in the Junior Hunters. She and Oswald Van De Leeuwerk were Reserve Champion and won both the Junior Hunter Classic and THIS Medal. Grier and Speculation also won the 1.05m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic. Laura and Evito Sun Z won the Ariat Medal, and Laura received the Amateur Style Award sponsored by Bill Rube. Colette and Old Fashioned finished 3rd in the 1.05m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic.
007 GOLDEN EYE
007 Golden Eye and Michael Andrade earned scores in the 80s in the USHJA 3’3” Green Incentive Finals. They also finished 3rd in the $10,000 National Hunter Derby at Tryon and earned Reserve Champion in the Green Hunter 3’6” division at the NCHJA Annual Horse Show.
NEW TO THE BARN
This summer, Signature Stables also welcomed Patton M. Recently imported with an extensive record and a great personality, he is already making his mark in the States.
