Successful Weeks at HITS & WEC Ocala

Our team has had a fantastic few weeks showing at both HITS Ocala and WEC Ocala, with great rounds, top ribbons, and exciting new partnerships developing across the hunters, jumpers, and equitation rings.

Ocala Winter Finals

At HITS Ocala Winter Finals, Grier Van Rooyen took over the reins in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under division aboard her mom’s Serendipity. The pair earned several top ribbons throughout the week, including 2nd, 3rd, as well as 5th in the Classic. Grier also stepped into the equitation ring with Cheiser B, swapping the jumper ring for the equitation ring, finishing 8th in the NHS Junior 3’3” Medal.

Laura Van Rooyen had a strong performance on Saturday in the Ariat Adult Medal aboard Evito Sun Z, earning 3rd place out of a large and competitive group.

Ocala Winter Celebration

The following week during the Ocala Winter Celebration, our riders were busy across the jumper and equitation rings.

Colette Arslanian showed both of her mounts in the Jr/Am jumper divisions. She piloted Fontaines Z in the .80m and Old Fashioned in the .90m for consistent rounds and 6th and 8th place finishes. We love seeing these partnerships continue to develop.

Grier Van Rooyen debuted her new jumper, Speculation, in the Jr/Am .90m jumpers with immediate success, earning 2nd and 4th place ribbons in a large class. Congratulations to Grier on this exciting new partnership—we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this pair.

Grier also had a successful week with Cheiser B, competing in both the .90m and 1.0m Jr/Am jumper divisions and earning 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

Meanwhile, Evito Sun Z pulled double duty in the equitation ring, helping both Laura and Grier secure top placings. The pair earned 4th in the THIS Children’s Medal, 8th in the NHS Junior 3’3” Medal, and 7th in the Ariat Adult Medal with Laura.

WEC Ocala Spectacular IX & XI

While part of the team was competing at HITS, our professional hunters were shining at WEC Ocala.

Serendipity, ridden by Michael Andrade, received outstanding scores in the Green Conformation Hunters, winning two classes during Week 9. The pair returned Week 11 to continue their success, earning Reserve Champion both weeks. This stunning hunter is currently available for purchase—contact us for more information.

Another highlight came from 007 Golden Eye and Michael Andrade, who secured top scores in the Green 3’3” Hunters both weeks, earning excellent ribbons out of large, competitive groups. We are incredibly proud of this young hunter’s consistent progress throughout the winter circuit.

Looking Ahead

With just a few weeks remaining in this year’s winter circuit, we are excited to finish the season strong. A big thank you to Brooke for managing the hunters at WEC while part of the team competed at HITS, and to our incredible staff for their hard work and dedication behind the scenes.

Winter Circuit Momentum at HITS Ocala

The last few weeks at HITS Ocala have been filled with top ribbons, exciting new partnerships, and strong performances across the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions. Our riders and horses continue to build momentum on the winter circuit, and we are proud of the consistency and progress shown in every ring.

Ocala Winter Festival

Last week, Colette and Fontaines Z earned top ribbons in the Jr/Am .80m Jumper Division, including impressive finishes of 2nd and 5th in the Classic. Their rounds reflected careful riding, consistency, and competitive focus throughout the week.

Colette also continued developing her partnership with her new mount, Old Fashioned, in the Jr/Am .90m Jumpers. As they get to know one another, the pair delivered steady, confident rounds and earned consistent ribbons, including a 3rd and 10th in the Classic. Building a new horse-and-rider relationship takes time, and we are excited about the foundation they are creating together.

Ocala Winter Classic WCHR

The previous week brought a standout equitation weekend for Grier, who stepped into the ride on Evito Sun Z, taking over from her mom and rising to the occasion beautifully.

Together, they earned:

  • Champion – 12–14 Equitation
  • Winner – THIS Children’s Medal
  • 2nd – USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal

In the jumper ring, Grier continued her success with Cheiser B, earning top ribbons in the Jr/Am 1.0m Jumpers and won  the 1.05m Jr/Am Classic.

She also competed with Gandalf in the .80m Jumpers, combining efforts with Jenn’s warm-up rides to secure top ribbons in each class and ultimately earn Reserve Champion in the division. It was an impressive and well-rounded week showcasing versatility across multiple rings.

Our professional horses also delivered strong performances at HITS. With Micheal Andrade in the irons, Serendipity earned top ribbons in the 3’6” Green Hunters, including a 3rd place finish in the Incentive Class. 007 Golden Eye was consistent in the 3’ Green Hunters, bringing home top ribbons and a 2nd place finish in the Incentive as well.

Ocala Winter Festival

We are gearing up for our final week of February competition at HITS Ocala before taking a short break ahead of our March show schedule. The winter circuit continues to be productive and rewarding, with riders gaining confidence and horses progressing beautifully. Congratulations to all of our riders, horses, trainers, and families on a fantastic few weeks in Ocala. We’re looking forward to finishing the month strong and continuing our success this spring.

2026 Show Season Kicks Off at WEC Ocala

The 2026 show season is officially in full swing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. Our team headed to World Equestrian Center – Ocala to open the year, and it was an exciting and successful week for both horses and riders.

We were thrilled to welcome a new addition to the barn, Old Fashioned, for Colette Arslanian. This new partnership got off to a great start in the jumper ring, and we’re excited to watch them continue to grow together. We wish Colette and “Bourbon” a successful and rewarding season ahead.

In the professional divisions, Michael Andrade delivered an outstanding week aboard our green hunters. 007 Golden Eye made an impressive debut in the 3’ Green Hunters, winning two classes on his way to Champion of the division and finishing 3rd in the Incentive Class. Serendipity also put in strong performances, earning top ribbons in the 3’6” Green Hunters.

Grier Van Rooyen had an exceptional week across multiple divisions. She piloted Biarritz to Reserve Champion in the Children’s Hunter 14/u. Grier also captured Champion honors and the Classic win with Cheiser B in the .95 Junior Jumpers. Additionally, Grier and Utrillo du Soleil earned a pair of second-place finishes in both the THIS Children’s Medal and the USHJA Hunter Seat Medal 3’3”.

Colette Arslanian had a fantastic time in the jumper ring with Fontaines Z and Old Fashioned, bringing home several strong ribbons, including a 5th place finish in the .85 Junior/Amateur Classic aboard Bourbon.

Laura Van Rooyen also delivered excellent performances throughout the week. She placed 3rd in the Ariat Medal with Evito Sun Z and earned top ribbons in the 3’3” Amateur Owner Hunters.

We are proud of our horses, riders, and team for starting the season on such a positive note. With momentum on our side, we’re heading back to WEC Ocala next week for our second show of the season and are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead.

2026 Pre Season Kick Off

We launched the 2026 show season in top form at HITS Ocala pre circuit delivering an exceptional week across the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions. With standout performances from both our riders and horses, the first show of the year set an exciting tone for the winter circuit in Ocala, Florida.

Grier Van Rooyen had a truly remarkable week, earning top honors on all four of her mounts and winning nearly every class she entered. Her consistency and success across divisions highlight the depth of talent and preparation within our hunter jumper program.

  • Biarritz – Champion, Children’s Hunter 14/u, with three class wins.
  • Gandalf – Champion, Jr/Amateur .80 Jumpers and Classic Winner, with all class wins.
  • Utrillo de Soleil – Winner of both THIS Children’s Medal and USHJA Jumping Seat Medal.
  • Cheiser B – Multiple top placings in the Jr/Amateur .90 Jumpers, including second in the Classic.

Laura Van Rooyen made a strong return to the show ring, earning impressive results in both the hunter and equitation divisions.

  • Serendipity – Top ribbons in the 3’3” Amateur-Owner Hunters.
  • Evito Sun Z – Winner of the Ariat Adult Medal, second in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal and 8th place in the National Hunter Derby.

A special highlight of the week was Laura finishing second in the USHJA Medal just behind her daughter, making it a memorable family moment in the equitation ring.

In the professional divisions, Michael Andrade guided both Serena and James to strong placings, contributing to a successful week for the barn.

  • 007 Golden Eye earned top ribbons in the Young Hunter divisions, including a class win.
  • Serendipity capped off the week as Champion in the 3’3” Performance Hunters.

We are back at HITS Ocala for our second week of pre-circuit competition before taking a short holiday break. This strong start builds momentum as we prepare for the remainder of the 2026 Ocala Winter Circuit. Wrapping up Indoors Season on a High Note

Signature Stables is celebrating an incredible end to our indoors season — with standout performances at both the Washington International Horse Show and the National Horse Show.

Our first stop was the DC area for WIHS, where Grier van Rooyen and her talented mount, Biarritz, earned an impressive 6th place finish in the WIHS Children’s Hunter Championship! Their hard work, consistency and style in the ring made for a fantastic showing and a well-deserved ribbon.

Next, we headed to Kentucky for the National Horse Show, where Laura van Rooyen and Evito Sun Z delivered a beautiful round in the THIS NHS Adult Amateur 36+ Equitation Championship, finishing 10th overall and taking 5th place in her age group flat class earlier in the week. Competing at these prestigious equitation finals has been a longtime goal of Laura’s since returning to the saddle, and we couldn’t be prouder of her dedication, poise, and partnership with Vito.

Congratulations, Laura and Grier, on an incredible Fall indoors! Your passion, preparation, and sportsmanship represent the heart of what we do here at Signature Stables.

HITS VII and The League Finals

We had a fantastic two weeks in Saugerties with our entire team to kick off the fall Finals season. Congratulations to all of our horses and riders on two weeks with great rounds and progress for all duos. HITS VIII
Grier Van Rooyen & Cheiser B were class winners and Reserve Champion in the Jr 1.0m Jumpers. In the hunter ring, Grier & Biarritz were Champion in the Children’s Hunter 14/u and the Classic Winner! Lastly, but definitely not least, Grier & Utrillo de Soleil won the THIS Children’s Medal. Congratulations Grier on a great week with your three boys.
Colette Arslanian & Fontaines Z were 2nd in the Jr/Am .80m Jumpers. This lovely pair is really getting to know each other and improving every week!
Laura Van Rooyen & Evito Sun Z won both the USEF & NHS Adult Medal. They were also 2nd in the Ariat Adult Medal. What a week for this duo!
The League Finals
Laura & Evito Sun Z dominated again in the equitation ring as winners of the Hudson Jr/Am Equitation Classic & were 2nd in the Jr/M Medal Final! Congrats Laura!
Grier & Utrillo de Soleil were 2nd in the Pyranha Children’s Medal Final and received top ribbons in the Children’s Hunter 14/u including 2nd in the under saddle on Biarritz.
Colette & Fontaines Z moved up this week and received top ribbons in the Jr/Adult .90 Jumpers. We love this new pair!

HITS Vermont

We had two incredible weeks at HITS Vermont! Our riders and horse brought their A-game to the mountains and we couldn’t be prouder. Thank you as always to our staff for all of their hard work.

Colette Arslanian and her new partner, Fontaines Z, had a great first week with top ribbons in the Jr/Am .90 Jumpers including a 4th in the $1k Classic. Week 2, this fantastic new team received top ribbons in both the .80s and .90s as well as a win in the Jr/Am 1.0 Jumper class. Congratulations Colette and great start with your new boy!

Grier Van Rooyen had a successful time with her mounts in all three rings. She and Utrillo de Soleil in the equitation ring were 4th in the THIS Children’s Medal and won the USHJA 3’3″ Hunter Seat Medal. Week 2, Grier & Fluffy again won the 3’3″ Hunter Seat Medal as well as received top ribbons in all the Junior Medal classes including a 2nd in the THIS Children’s Medal.

Over in the Hunter ring, Grier and Biarritz were Champion in the Children’s Hunter 14/u both weeks and were also 3rd and 6th, respectively in the Classic each week. In jumper land, Cheiser B and Grier were class winners in the Jr/Am .90 Jumpers during week 1 and received a pair of 2nds and a 3rd moving up to the 1.0 Junior Jumper division during week 2. Congratulations Grier!

Grier & Biarritz’s back to back Championship earned them Vermont Summer Festival Circuit Champion in their division!

Laura Van Rooyen and Evito Sun Z were super consistent with great ribbons week 1 in all of their equitation classes including a 2nd in the The League Jr/Am Medal and 3rd in all the USHJA Adult and Jr/Adult Jumping Seat Medal and NHS Adult Medal. Week 2, this team didn’t disappoint, winning the Jr/Adult Jumping Seat and Horsemanship Medal as well as the Ariat Medal. They were also 2nd in the Jumping Seat Medal. Congratulations Laura on a great two weeks!

In the Hunter ring, Laura and Serendipity received top ribbons in the 3’3″ Amateur Owners including a 3rd and a 2nd as well as 3rd in the Classic. During Week 2, this team earned a 2nd in the under saddle and 5th in the Classic.

As the Summer is winding down, we are looking forward to a great Fall Finals show season. Good luck to all of our riders on a successful Zone 2 Finals!

Summer Show Kick Off

After a relaxing first few weeks of June at home, we started out the summer show season at Princeton Show Jumping before heading to Saratoga last week with a great group of horses.

We also officially welcomed Colette Arslanian’s new horse, Fonta, to our team. Congratulations Colette- we can’t wait to see this fantastic new partnership develop!

 

Princeton Show Jumping Summer I

Grier Van Rooyen had a fantastic week with all 3 of her horses in all three rings. CHEISER B was second in the .90m Junior Jumpers and third in the Jr Jumper Classic. BIARRITZ was Champion and double class winner in the Children’s Hunter 14/u and finally UTRILLO DE SOLEIL was Champion in the Children’s Eq 14/u and winner of the Mini Medal. Congrats Grier!

Laura Van Rooyen followed suit for the family with fantastic rounds on her EVITO SUN Z, for second in all three equitation classes: the USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal, Ariat, USEF Adult Medal. She was also third in the THIS Adult Medal. She was also second in the 3’3” Amateur Owner Handy Class with SERENDIPITY.

Saratoga Women in Business Spectacular

Jenn & Biarritz warmed up for the weekend in the USHJA 3′ Hunters with fantastic ribbons. He followed with Grier for Reserve Champion in the Children’s Hunter as well as a win in the Classic.

Grier also had a fantastic week in the jumper and equitation ring receiving Champion in the .90m Junior Jumpers and a .95m Classic win with CHEISER B, She and UTRILLO DE SOLEIL won both of the 12-14 Equitation Classes as well as second in the THIS Children’s Medal. She was also 4th moving up to the 3’3″ Junior Medal.

007 Golden Eye had a great learning week with Jenn in the USHJA 2’9″ Hunters and then followed with some great rounds with Laura in the Southbound Hunters.

Laura also showed her EVITO SUN Z to second in the Ariat with a score of 86. She also had great rounds with SERENDIPITY in the 3’3″ Amateur Owners receiving top ribbons.

Victory Road joined us back on the road this week preparing for Pony Finals, receiving great ribbons with Grier. This fantastic division pony is now available for sale! Contact us for trials in KY starting next week through Pony Finals.

Spring Horse Shows

We had a wonderful start to the Spring shows in the northeast with two additional weeks of back to back showing at Princeton Show Jumping and HITS on the Hudson. Although both weeks proved not to be sunny & warm like Ocala, we beat the rain and the chill with some fabulous rounds and ribbons.

Princeton Show Jumping May II

In the hunters, Grier Van Rooyen & Biarritz got stellar ribbons in the Children’s Hunter Division including a pair of seconds, a third and a class win for Champion of the division as well as second in the M&S Classic. Congrats Grier!

Laura Van Rooyen continued with her daughter’s stellar hunter rounds in the 3’3″ Amateur Owner Division on Serendipity earning top ribbons including a second as well as fifth in the classic.

In the jumper ring, Colette Arslanian & Diamond B Casanova were super fast and clear in the 1.0m Amateur Jumpers earning top ribbons. This team also were fantastic in the 1.05m Amateur Jumper Classic for a third to finish out their weekend. Great job Colette!

Grier & her jumper, Cheiser B, also were super fast in the .90m Junior Jumpers as they continue to get to know each other and earned sixth & seventh in their division as well as seventh in the M&S Classic.

Over in the equitation ring, Laura rode Evito Sun Z to a win in the Ariat Medal & third in the THIS Medal. They also stepped up to the 3’3″ equitation classes this week winning the USEF Adult Eq Medal and earned second on the M&S Jumping Seat Medal. Congrats Laura!

Grier continued her mom’s winning equitation rounds with a win in the Mini Medal and second in the THIS Children’s Medal with Utrillo de Soleil. She also stepped up to the 3’3″ equitation classes this week earning third in the NHS Medal.

HITS Hudson Valley I

The chilly weather continued in the mountains but we didn’t let the weather keep up down. Jenn showed baby James aka 007 Golden Eye in the USHJA 2’9″ Hunters with some fantastic rounds and extra effort in the mountain air.

Our jumpers were blazing fast with Colette & Diamond B Casanova earned top ribbons in the 1.0m Amateur Jumpers and were sixth in the 1.05m Classic. Congrats Colette!

Grier & Cheiser B also earned top ribbons in the .90m Junior/Amateur Jumpers including fifth in the classic.

Grier didn’t let the rain stop her from winning every mini medal class of the week with Utrillo de Soleil the Mini Maclay, Mini Medal, THIS Medal and Mini Hits. In the hunter ring, Grier & Biarritz also dominated in the Children’s Hunters with first, second and third in the division and a win in the Classic. Congrats Grier!

Laura Van Rooyen also rocked the equitation this week with Vito with a win in the Ariat Adult Medal and also were fourth in the NHS Adult Medal. Over in the hunter ring, Laura and Serendipity were class winners in the 3’3″ Amateur Owners.

A great few weeks of spring shows brings us back to our NJ home base for some R&R for a few weeks before headed back to Princeton at the end of the month. Thank you as always to our clients and staff for such a tremendous effort.

Back in New Jersey

We officially arrived back to our home base in NJ earlier this month with the horses excited to be back in the crisp, Spring air. After a few days rest, we returned back to work preparing for our first month of horse shows. Last week we started our first of three consecutive show weeks at Princeton Show Jumping, kicking off the spring with great success.

Princeton Show Jumping May I

Jenn piloted our youngest hunter, 007 Golden Eye, this week stepping up to the USHJA 2’9″ earning great ribbons. She also warmed up Serendipity for the weekend in the 3’3″ Performance Hunters, with fantastic rounds on this new addition to Team Signature.

The Van Rooyen girls had a fantastic week at Princeton on some of their new and existing partnerships.

Grier Van Rooyen showed in all three rings during her first show back north with great success, She rode Biarritz to top ribbons in the Children’s Hunter Division including a 6th in the Classic out of a competitive group.

In jumper land, she piloted her newest partner, Cheiser B, to top ribbons in the .90m Junior Jumper Division as well as 2nd in the M&S .90m Junior Jumper Classic.

In the Equitation ring, Grier & Utrillo de Soleil rode to Reserve Champion in the 14/u Equitation Division as well as 2nd in the THIS Children’s Medal and a win in the Mini Medal with a score of 86! Congratulations Grier!
