
We launched the 2026 show season in top form at HITS Ocala pre circuit delivering an exceptional week across the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions. With standout performances from both our riders and horses, the first show of the year set an exciting tone for the winter circuit in Ocala, Florida.
Grier Van Rooyen had a truly remarkable week, earning top honors on all four of her mounts and winning nearly every class she entered. Her consistency and success across divisions highlight the depth of talent and preparation within our hunter jumper program.

- Biarritz – Champion, Children’s Hunter 14/u, with three class wins.
- Gandalf – Champion, Jr/Amateur .80 Jumpers and Classic Winner, with all class wins.
- Utrillo de Soleil – Winner of both THIS Children’s Medal and USHJA Jumping Seat Medal.
- Cheiser B – Multiple top placings in the Jr/Amateur .90 Jumpers, including second in the Classic.
Laura Van Rooyen made a strong return to the show ring, earning impressive results in both the hunter and equitation divisions.
- Serendipity – Top ribbons in the 3’3” Amateur-Owner Hunters.
- Evito Sun Z – Winner of the Ariat Adult Medal, second in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal and 8th place in the National Hunter Derby.

A special highlight of the week was Laura finishing second in the USHJA Medal just behind her daughter, making it a memorable family moment in the equitation ring.
In the professional divisions, Michael Andrade guided both Serena and James to strong placings, contributing to a successful week for the barn.
- 007 Golden Eye earned top ribbons in the Young Hunter divisions, including a class win.
- Serendipity capped off the week as Champion in the 3’3” Performance Hunters.

We are back at HITS Ocala for our second week of pre-circuit competition before taking a short holiday break. This strong start builds momentum as we prepare for the remainder of the 2026 Ocala Winter Circuit.
